I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with more than twenty-five years of experience helping individuals and couples navigate some of life’s most difficult moments.
My approach to therapy has always been deeply humanistic. I believe healing begins with feeling seen, heard, and understood, and that no two people experience grief, trauma, or change in exactly the same way. My role is not to tell you how your healing should look, but to create a safe and compassionate space in which you can discover what healing means for you.
Throughout my career, I have worked with grief and loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My clinical training includes EMDR, hypnotherapy, and Induced After-Death Communication (IADC), along with other mind-body and trauma-informed approaches.
My relationship with grief became deeply personal when my husband of more than forty years died in 2023. After decades of sitting beside others in their pain, I suddenly found myself living the very experience I had helped so many people navigate.
That loss deepened both my work and my understanding of what it means to grieve. I came to understand more fully that grief is not something we simply “get over.” Healing can include learning how to carry love forward, finding meaning after profound loss, and allowing ourselves to remain open to the ways connection may continue.
That journey eventually became my memoir, Bees, Butterflies and Hummingbirds: Where Grief Blooms, which explores love, loss, nature, and the unexpected ways healing and continuing connection can unfold.
Today, my work brings together more than twenty-five years of clinical experience with a deeper understanding of grief gained from having walked through it myself. I continue to learn, to remain curious, and to honor both the psychological and spiritual dimensions that can be part of healing.
I look forward to meeting you.
